Privacy Policy

To run school meal ordering we collect what the service needs and no more:

• Account details — name, email address, and the school a family or teacher is attached to

• Student details — the child's name, classroom, portion size, and any allergy information a parent chooses to give us, so the kitchen can plate the right meal

• Order history — what was ordered, for which day, and what was paid

• Mobile numbers — for the people described below

Card details are handled by our payment processor and never reach our systems.

We collect a mobile number from two groups of people, for two different reasons.

• Parents and teachers may add a mobile number to their account. It is used to reach them about their own orders. We do not run a marketing text programme and we do not text them promotions.

• Staff and partner site contacts who have agreed in writing to receive operational notifications give us a mobile number for that purpose. We store the number, whether notifications are switched on, and a record of any STOP or START message.

Numbers collected for operational notifications are used only to send those notifications — daily headcount confirmations, missing-count alerts, and Friday confirmation reminders. They are not used for anything else.

Mobile numbers and SMS consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. They are not sold, rented, or traded under any circumstances.

Inside Mama's Catering Kitchen, only staff who need it to prepare and deliver meals or to support your account.

Outside, only the service providers that make the platform work: our payment processor, our email provider, our text message provider, and our hosting and database providers. Each handles data on our behalf and is not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Schools see the information they need to serve lunch — which of their students are eating on a given day, and any allergy notes attached to those meals.

We do not sell personal information.

Account and order records are kept while the account is active and afterwards for as long as we need them for accounting and tax purposes.

A mobile number switched off for notifications is kept only as the record that consent was withdrawn, so that we do not message the number again by mistake.

Email contact@mamascateringkitchen.com and tell us what you would like removed. We respond within 2 business days and will confirm when it is done.

To have a mobile number removed from operational notifications, you can reply STOP to any message, or email us and we will switch it off.

Some records have to be kept even after a deletion request — paid order history, for example, which accounting rules require us to retain. We will say plainly what we have kept and why.

Student details are provided by a parent, guardian, or the school, never collected from a child directly. They are used only to prepare and deliver that child's meals.

If this policy changes in a way that affects how we use your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
